The WLC wants to help women by:

• Preventing child abuse and neglect
• Ensuring proper early childhood care and education
• Accessing resources to support women and their families by providig them training for skills to better compete in the marketplace
  

In San Antonio:

• 28.6 percent of San Antonio families are single head of household women
• Children raised by single mothers are two to three times more likely to be raised in poverty
• 8 percent of children under the age of 5 and 22.7 percent of youth under 18 live in poverty
• One in seven calls reporting child abuse or neglect is confirmed

We have a moral responsibility to give hope where hope is needed. We need you, and you are a vital part of our transformation.
